You know, I'm not a fan of how most people portray the insanity that comes from encountering eldritch horrors. This is more of my take, that first panel, there - the reality starts to set in and you realize how alien the situation is in your mind. A lot of people like to do the whole "I see it and I'm BONKERS ALL OF A SUDDEN" and I don't really like that approach.

Anyway, go Jaunt, go! You can do it!

Ahhh, that glow effect is super nice in the bottom panels...

I have to wonder what the cost is going to be for.. what I assume is some sort of eldrich healing. :S

And Chase... geeze. I can already see the path that he's about to go down. It worries me.

That's a good question! Let's find out... and let's see if Chase can remain slightly normal.

Thank you, though, I appreciate it :)

Jaunt to the rescue.
In the second panel, I thought man he is pretty limber with that pose and would probably be a good dancer. Yeah, I'm weird to think that...

Actually, that's something I thought about while I was making the character, so, not weird at all! To me it just means I convey his limberness successfully :D

I guess enough sincere determination MIGHT break the pendant effect or maybe it is just a glow in the last panel.
One thing you do good is making me switch between "go humans" and "go creatures" coupled with the fact that Jaunt genuinely CARES about his subordinates but at the same time uses them for his own ends.
It is not humans have the right and creatures are only evil/bad/dishonest. After all, humans broke the fishmen deal first if I am not mistaken.
Also, shame our brains cannot feel the effect of non-red blood. At least I cannot :(

Unfortunately, I don't think the disney style of wishing hard enough will help here...

I'm really glad you go back and forth, though, these are exactly the responses I'm looking for :)

Though what do you mean? I was actually trying to figure out what blue blood might have an abundance in for potential pseudo-scientific stuff down the road but I couldn't find anything :I lol

Poor Jack then :(
I worded it badly but what I mean is that it is a shame we cannot recognize any other color of blood as appropriately shocking.
That panel with Jack lying in a pool of blood. Red? Damn, he is done alright. Blue? Not that big of an impact on me.
I do not mean it is bad, more like we do not know any other color so I do not FEEL it as much.

I don't know who to root for...all the characters have their own agenda that you can't /really/ fault them for, even if it is classically "evil"

that's the mark of good writing right there!

Chase, now is a good time to find that motorbike you took the key for earlier. Before they get over their shock of the situation.

Nice.

I love the second last panel with his hand splayed out in front.

These last few pages are how I hope to do the 'intense' moments.

Jaunt's exaggerated poses for these past few pages have been exquisite.
