Okay! Here's the page that was supposed to go up on friday. I'm going to skip this friday's page and try to resume normal schedule next week - the trip to PAX went GREAT and I had a wonderful time, I'm feeling recharged, but I started my new job yesterday and I'm doing the whole 'learning the ropes' thing again.

I'm getting back into the rhythm of working on the comic as soon as I can. Thank you, everyone! :)

For a non-human Jaunt had so many cool clothes that I cannot count anymore. Either that or it just seems that way :D

If I were Mr. Fungus in the great service to the great Nyarl spreading the Greater Good then I would remove the anchor and secretly plant my own tracking device. For the great Master of course.
I mean, is there a deal among monsters that is not one sided? This is not going to be a simple exchange of favors :D

tracking device?

Tracking device? You're thinking too conservatively. Implant spores, designed to sprout into wonderful new Mi-Go life under specific conditions!

Sounds good! I once asked what happens when somebody inhales fungal spores of 40k Orks. If later the person is suddenly ripped apart from inside and a greenskin jumps out like: "Sup boyz!"

Is that what can happen here? Fungal tracking device in the form of small Mi-Gos reporting back then ;)

Ew, don't remind me! I've seen a TV report on certain fungi in the rain forest. There was one that created a net to catch falling leafs in order to consume them... kinda neat... but then it proceeded to another... insects breathe in the spores, first it makes them climb up as high as they can, then... they die, feet and legs clamped tightly around a twig... and little mushrooms sprout out of every one of their joints... and their mouths and eyes *shiver* :-(

Yup... And there are plenty such organisms that kill in very "gruesome" ways. Even if often bugs or insects. Scary thought is that it is sometimes their only purpose. Like, humans barely think about all the effed up things that exist in the nature. It is very freaky when it is monsters and such but they often come from real plants or organisms somewhere hidden in a jungle. Sheesh.

Reminds of Pokémon, lmao. I only much later learned that the Pokémon Paras and Parasect are actually the parasitic mushroom and with Parasecr the insect is already sucked dry and dead and just controlled by the parasite. What were they smoking.

Glad to hear that your PAX experience was great! Good luck with the new job and settling in, that's always a trial period of excitement/stress.

Looking forward to seeing how this develops, but take your time. :)

I can't recall ever having as much fun and just.. pure mental satisfaction as I did when I was at PAX. It was such a good time. Thank you :)

The comic resumes as normal starting tomorrow!

It is cool to see the Mi-go, they are one of my favorite Lovecraftian creatures.

However, Jaunt had best be careful in this situation.

The Mi-go have a saying : "there is almost no problem which can't be solved by removing the patient's brain, and putting it in a jar."

I'm glad you enjoy it! I think the Mi-go are wonderful, myself :)

I agree that Jaunt best take care, here.. though he's already pretty cautious.

Ah the Mi-go, otherwise known as "your fungal friends who are fun to be with!" I confess, when I first heard the name, the Mach Go Go Go theme song did play out in my head--but I'm strange that way. Please ignore me. :)

I'm loving the design as well--heck, I love all the artwork here. :)

I'm not familiar with the song! I'll have to look it up so that my brain can be infected, too :)

Thank you, though, I'm glad you're enjoying it!

I'm liking the Mi-Go design. They are less insectile looking than a lot of what I've seen drawn in the past.
Just remember it takes about 6 mo to start getting settled in a new job.

I'm really trying to have the fungal and insectoid aspects married together, but since I like mushroomfolk and I already have bugs in the comic the mushroom stands out a bit more I think, hehe.

I hope I get comfortable before then! I gotta keep making this thing, heh!

Stunning

Again you continue to amaze.

I love the design of the Mi-Go...although I wonder how much Jaunt is truly in for the 'Great Purpose'.

As of late...I think Jaunt's starting to question what's going on.
