Hey guys! Just a heads up, things are going to be really busy for me for a bit, so I might be delayed in getting some pages up or the schedule might be wonky. I got a job again recently, which is gonna require a move, all while I have friends and family visiting for thanksgiving holiday, AND I'm going to PAX Unplugged at the end of the month. Holy cow :D

Just wanted to say it might affect uploads, but I'm not sure. Either way, have a fantastic week!

Huh. I will give Chase that his bro should be dead but suddenly is not but the reaction is still a bit surprising?
I figured he is used to anything weird at this point, especially monsters. Is it really that or is there something more?
Fair. You do not see just anyone looking like that but better get used to it because you might an upgrade yourself sooner or later to stand a chance! Even if magic. That also is not a natural skillset :)

I mean... seeing your brother being largely covered in some strange alien being is probably a different level of horror than being attacked by a beast you don't recognize, eh? At the very least a different KIND of horror, heh.

Enjoy your busy schedule, it sounds like an eventful one filled with opportunities for fun! :)

Blasphemy? Is Chase a church going man? If so, that is a very interesting reveal!

Sooort of? It also comes with a large dose of anxiety, heh. And yes, Chase is a religious man, as is (was?) his brother.

...Know that in saying this I am in no way intending to trivialize or demean the emotional impact of your storytelling—it’s been really good thus far, and you’re doing fantastically—but Chase’s “blasphemy.” face is one of the most delightfully hilarious things to have happened thus far. I just—the eyes! I cannot take him seriously! This thin angry red-haired man! He is so angry!

That's kind of the reaction I was hoping for, haha. Chase is a weak willed man and I like to have it show up in fun and surprising ways :)

Aww, Chase, why you gotta be that way.

I mean, what price is beyond worth paying for your freakin' BROTHER to still be alive? Is it not worth a little bit of the unknown (or Unknowable)?

Nah, I'm on Chase's side here XD

It's one of the only traits he and I share, I'd like to think? I hope :')

Poor chase, he looks like he's on the brink of loosing his mind. His bother is not dead, but he's half a monster.

Wow! I guess Chase is in "if it ain't human, it ain't food" mode. I can't really blame him. From his point of view, he has had a positive experience with non-human sapients. Roy, on the other hand seems pretty impressed. Chase's reaction is totally consistent with an HPL character. Hopefully Chase can get past it (although the conflict between the brothers would be an intense plot dynamic).

We'll have to see, hm? I'm glad you can see where I'm going with the reactions here, always pleases me to see these things coming across :)

Chase doesn't understand that there is no such thing as "a fate worse than death".

Uhhh, Chase . . . ixnay on the asphemy-blay, considering you and Clara have made use of some "interesting" equipment in your first encounter with Jaunt.

Your hands aren't clean, sir!

Unhappy Reunion

You would expect Chase to be thrilled to see his brother alive again. Oh well, I can't exactly blame him, considering I really don't trust Thigg either. I think they are more than seem.

Blasphemy

I guess that, to a lot of us moderns, that would roughly translate as something like "racist cultural appropriator".
Personally, I think blasphemy has a lot more intellectual heft and content, but then English is my third language, and a lot of American hang-ups just seem weird to me.
