Hey everyone!

I hope you like the page; if I titled pages I might call this one "Hugh's Mission" or something like that, heh.

But! As you read this, there's a good chance I'm setting up to start our crazy stream thing, or maybe it's already running! If you want to join us, go to https://www.twitch.tv/mistakenpotatoes

If you want to join in the chat, you'll need to make a twitch account, but that's pretty painless. I don't get any e-mails from them aside from notifications from channels I follow. What I'll be playing today is the first Kingdom Hearts game, for the first time, with someone who's a fan of the series. All I've seen from it has made me cringe, so.. I expect things to get funny. After this stream, though, I plan on doing more, maybe some more of Kingdom Hearts, eventually, but I'll probably be more PC-game and webcam oriented.

Okay, that's enough from me - have a good day, and drop by and say hi on the stream if you're so inclined :)

Oh Yeah! That's one of the things that makes this story stand out to me, so many characters are all on their hero's journey at the same time, and often on different "sides". So many hero's.

So many heroes - on either side, no less!

This one of the things that makes this story so special for me: Most of the enemies of each other are in some way heroes, even Jaunt, who started out taking the place of the powerful elegant supervillain, but he not only turned out to be quite likable, he has something of a real hero in him (so I think).

All by his-self :D Probably not that impressive, but I feel like people tend to fight with hatred. That doesn't work for Hugh.

Hugh is a big boy now :D
Makes sense. It is similar to moving away, changing schools, leaving home and so on and on. You adjust to it because your roots are now elsewhere after all. Although it does depend on the person as well.
At first I thought it was really just his more apparent human side that somewhat alienated him around even the fishbros but now I see he really still believed to be mostly human and therefore just a guest among them. Not anymore :D

He's found his family, and with that, a reason to fight to keep it. He's probably the center of the theme of acceptance and growth I have going on in the story.

I love that Al began the conversation with “What is it you think you’ve figured out,” clearly fully expecting to need to do some psychoanalyzing and set Hugh on the right path, and then Lo and Behold, Hugh didn’t need any realigning of his path at all; he actually DID have it figured out. One gets the sense that Al is proud because, Yes, Hugh has found a place within the (weird, eldritch, possibly world-destroying) community he’s been adopted into, but also, just a little bit, because Hugh found that place without needing to be nudged there by any subtly pointed questions or oblique, clever metaphors. They grow up so fast! *sniff*

I think at this point Al is just used to watching people and coaching them, only to see them fall into old habits. I'm glad you caught on to this :)

And on an unrelated note, Hugh’s little webbed footsies are just the CUTEST. That is all.

And now for something completely different:

I got the impression that the cult the of Dagon was somewhat secret - but naming a ship "DAGONS LADY" kinda flaunts it, does it not? So how does that fit together?
