Aah.. I know at least a few people were curious about what was going on with Jack :D

That cop looks like he's about to punch his partner. Is that the usual comedy-duo of the times, with one being the abusive jerk? :D

(Yes, I know he's leaning on the doorjamb, or something.)

Tbh, when I look at them they seem like fake cops...
Not suspecting anything but really. Might as well be fake cops who got there because it was about a possibly super natural thing. I think the pair is still being watched...

It's true, he is just leaning against the arch of the door. I can kinda see the 'winding up for a punch' thing but if I was gonna communicate that I would have pulled his arm way further back :)

Fake cops? Hmm, maybe. Who says that Roy/Imemi need to be there in order for them to spy on the two? Eheheh...

"admire" or "amused by"? Or with N. is there even a difference?

Maybe amusement is all he knows, and he himself doesn't even know the difference anymore? Heheh

Basically the whole "job offer" for Jack is something he cannot walk away from even after death. Worst offer ever :/
For real though: I do not think Jack's feelings are relevant one bit and he cannot even strike back. Which makes me wonder how he felt under Jaunt but Jaunt at least saved him once. His whole life is one of servitude and failure and then the cycle repeats after a NDE. Jack has been more of a punching bag if I have to be harsh and I do not remember him voicing his opinions once? Poor thing :/

Random question but was Jack there to spy on Jaunt by any chance?

It would appear that Jaunt didn't utilize mind control, while Nyarlathotep, well.. one has to wonder how long he's been ensorcelled.

He's voiced his opinions a few times but they were cast aside - I know people are harping on me about Jack, but I guarantee you I'm building towards a payoff, not just for Jack but for each character. I really hope it works out :)

Also, you know I can't answer that question! Hahaha

Haha, I usually do not expect those answers anyway ;)
Some of the questions are just there so I do not forget about them OR sometimes authors slip in the way they refuse to answer them :D

Okay then! It would not surprise if he really were there with orders although Nyarl's clones could do spying regardless anyway.

See, Jack? People like you for your personality. So there is no reason to buy so much wing polishing wax.

Lots of interesting dynamics going on here. Although not the most recent the Irish weren't that far from being the unpopular immigrants of the moment and Chase and Irwin probably would have caught crap especially in some of the more Waspy communities. it sounds like teh two cops are familiar with Chase's circumstances. Chances are that Chase and Clara are from significantly different social strata.
Just around the corner we have poor, dear and rapidly departing Jack. For Jack to have to sit passively as Nyarlathotep whether to let him live or die. Narly may not be explicit about it but I suspect that Jack will end up bound to him one way or another.

Yeah - the Irish might not be the least popular but there was definitely some discrimination. Good observation, though! Chase and Clara had very different upbringings, heheh.

I think you might just be right about Jack, though ;)
