Not as happy with this page, but it does act as a good starting off point for the action. Next week things'll get a little crazy.

Just a reminder! Tomorrow I'm gonna be streaming for a while starting around 12:00-1:00 PM CST (-5:00 GMT), at least 4 hours I imagine if not more. I'm doing requests from all current $5+ patrons and spending roughly an hour per drawing. If you want to hang out (or become a patron in order to get a request in the queue ;D ;D) come follow me at twitch, here:

Also! Check out my Patreon here:
(I really need to update this page)

Anyway, that's all I've got. Have a good weekend everyone! :)

I'd ask if you meant Thigg, but he/it/whatever was always weird. :)

Hmm. Will be interesting to see if Irwin can see in the dark, now. This is bound to be terrifying for Clara.

Irwin may not see in the dark but I'll bet Thigwin can.
Jack has lost the initiative and he is up against an opponent of unknown capabilities. He should use the cover of darkness to activate the cloak and beat a strategic retreat. But, since he is Jack, that probably isn't going to happen.
The goofy part of me wants to have "Light's Out" by the Groovie Goolies to close the last panel.

I had to look it up, never heard it before - I feel like I would have really liked this show growing up! I'm sad I missed out D:

Oh well, at least I had Scooby Doo and stuff I guess, heh.

I agree that Jack's best course of action is retreating. Unless he has something up his sleeve.

The problem here is that Thigg has virtually limitless options to counter Jack since all he needs to do is to form the right weapon. While Jack has the same or similar ability and that makes them pretty matched, Thigg has that and ranged weapons as well. Although the space is very limited for ranged combat.

On the other hand, Thigg has to rely on Irwin's physique while Jack is pretty agile.
The past battle with Hugh proved that Irwin is not exactly in favor of close ranged combat for an extended period of time.

Thigwin still has a weapon advantage.

The reason I say this is because while Jack has a weapon, Thigg /is/ his weapon. This could be both a strength and a weakness, but when Jack tells his wapon to be a spear, it's a spear. Thigwin's counterspear can feel pain when injured, presumably, possibly a minus - but it can also grow an orifice and take a bite out of Jack's weapon. (Functional orifice? Idk, but even if not, that's a bite of weaponstuff Jack no longer has, and even if Thigwin can't digest it immediately, it hasn't far to travel to where he/it can.) Even if this happens, we have to wonder if the 'bite of weapon' could be a trojan horse, which means two supporting questions: 1) Is that possible? 2) Can Jack utilise that? (Considering that Jack only recently acquired his weapon, perhaps not - but I notice that Thigg tends to keep original natures of his foods, around - so if that's what happens, it might still 'trojan' him later in the storyline.)

Man, I overuse parentheses!

Speaking of unlimited weapon counters...

And while Thigg is not exactly Horus Lupercal either, he seems capable of calculating moves VERY accurately and coming up with the right weapon to counter them.

The following are just loud speculative thoughts.

However, Jack has one more weapon. His determination. Look at it this way: Jack utterly failed against Chase in a critical moment that almost cost him his life. After which Jaunt healed him fully, gave him a personal weapon and commanded him with another important mission. If Jack fails now then that will be QUITE the disgrace.
While this does not work in reality, it sometimes DOES play a role in fiction and characters win purely by this fact.

One more scenario I pointed out a bit previously. Irwin and Thigg are still two entities. While they agree in combat, they might not agree with the means of combat. If Jack uses Clara as a hostage then:
1. Thigg might think it would be best to run a spike through them both because it would be the best chance and I suspect for Thigg Jack takes the priority no matter what.
2. Irwin would HIGHLY object to that and would show an opening for Jack to use.

The thrill I get out of this is that if I write something I think might happen on the next page, I will get immediate results when the update arrives and can recalculate.
If it is a long term speculation then I always have this weird hype like after you buy a lotto ticket :D
So thanks :D
It is like having your code written and hitting compile!! Quite the... stimulating... effect :>

"Not only is my boyfriend back from the dead, but his arm is a piece of WORK"

This is just a small thing but I really like how the shattering lamp is rendered (and everything else of course!)

Despite the limitations of sequential art, combat is not turn-based. Jack and Irwin are both acting at more-or-less the same time. We shall soon see whose tactic prevails. My bet is on Jack. I will have to revisit the archives to see if Jack has been briefed on Irwin/Thigg.

Jack DID have the element of surprise - let's see if he can make use of it. I'm glad that you're interested in seeing how this goes :)

Jack has NO idea who Jack/Thigg is

I'm thinking this is an escape tactic - killing the lights to go on the attack doesn't work so good when your primary weapon is infused with glowy special effects...

Then again, we already know Jack's persistent past the point of reason, and that may not have crossed his mind.

It only glows when it transforms! But yeah, maybe not completely the best :) I hope you like how it turns out!
