Howdy all! Update on the CoC game I played on wednesday: It was great! It was a really good role playing session that played out better than many I've participated in. As soon as it's up on their site I'll link you guys to it.

Meanwhile... can you feel it? Can you feel the distant thunder...? :D

Jack, please, this is not Dishonored :/

Hm. So far it seems his powers are pretty helpful. Does not seem like he needs special lighting conditions or something else to fully cloak himself. I am guess he stays physical (he needs to touch the pipe to climb and all) and he is capable of maintaining the form for a longer period of time.
Hm. What is the catch? :D
He does seem to be careful so probably knows she could sense him? Maybe this form sends stronger magical energy around him than when he has his invincibility off but then that would be only useful in the human world. But that is fine enough.

It's very interesting how people seem to think Clara can sense these things, hmm :)

For me the idea is that he can still be seen, it's just more difficult. WE can see him fairly easily because we need to be able to, as readers, but it's kind of like a distorted blur if you get the chance to observe it long enough, so he still tries to stay mostly out of sight.

The catch, well, that will be revealed later, I would say :D

Nice note of impending peril, or is Jack just collecting intelligence?Nice details with the period lighting but the sprinklers are a bit of an anachronism.

Technology

Automatic ceiling sprinklers go back to the 1800s, manual ones to early 1800s.

I actually smacked my forehead when Mgnostic said that, because I know they existed in some fashion, but I didn't think about how common they would be at that time, which would probably be really, really uncommon. Uhhh... Miskatonic is a rich Ivy League school in this universe :D Yeaaah!

All that being said, it is your universe. I wish I could give you a tour of old state hospital buildings that were built pre 1930's. They can be pretty creepy.

I'm gettin' a slight Animal House Vibe.

Oh man, I'd totally watch Animal House set at Miskatonic U.

The dark terror that is double secret probation...

Thank you! And yeah, he's a heck of a creeper here, hah. Something tells me he's not really interested in peeping on human women so much, though...

I'm seeing a rejected Lovecraft story here: "The Thing on the Drainpipe".
