We'll open up this chapter to find where Irwin has been... let's do some catching up! :)

I got a couple new patreon subscribers recently, thank you guys! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! Every little bit helps. Have a good weekend, all!

You've got a knack for 'otherworldy' landscapes. Whenever I try and create something weird it just comes out kinda spiky.

Nice work!

Aw jeez, thanks you guys. I actually wish I rendered this better but that's always going to be the case I think, heh.

Either way I really appreciate it :)

Visual Info Dump

As always your alien worlds are beautiful, and your renditions of alien creatures are imaginative. But I think the real strength of this page is contained in the last two panels.

There's such a huge amount of "show don't tell" going on there, that so easily answers a lot of lingering questions about Irwin, Thigg, and their "relationship". Questions I've wondered about since the last big battle scene anyway. The only relevant questions this page doesn't answer for me are "Exactly how long has it been since their escape?" (It can't have been too long since other events in the story seem a little time sensitive) and "Just how bad does that space whale smell?" Irwins' nose isn't crinkled in disgust, but he could be de-sensitized to it, or Thigg could be suppressing his olfactory senses.

Aaah, man I'm so happy to see that you got this much out of the page :D I really wanted to smack people with this clearly non-earth environment and then pull it in real close to focus on Irwin to try and imply his situation.

I really like pages where I don't have to put down a bunch of exposition, heh :)

I don't know what they are! Scary is what they are. Apparently not scary enough to deal with Thiggwin though, heh :)

Video games are probably no small amount of inspiration in my work, to be honest..

I can't believe I ate the whole thing.

Dude, your alien landscapes rock! So many Irwin-Thigg questions answered, so many new questions rising. Glad to hear you are feeling rested.

Haha, I'm glad that it's pretty established now that Thigg likes to digest big gross things.

Thank you, though, I'm glad that you like the landscape, too, and that I'm answering JUST enough questions. That last part has been really challenging, even more than the art I would say.

The shadowing and the eyes in the last panel kill me, particularly the shadowing *on the bottom half of the eyes themselves*. That is a look of true, bleak depression. He was almost manic with glee when he had his first shot at Jaunt. It didn't work out.

And this hellscape might be the only thing he sees for the rest of his existence as his humanity ebbs away. It's all encapsulated in one LOOK.

*claps*

I'm glad it came across! "How did I come from exacting revenge to sitting inside of the carcass of a space whale?" Yeah I can't imagine how I would feel :')

I really appreciate it, thank you!

Wow, I remember you showing me a preview of this a long time ago! It's even cooler in context! IRWIN IS TOTALLY PULLING A PINOCCHIO WITH THIS WHALE CARCASS

Very well drawn. The first time I looked at it I didn't realize what it was in which Irwin was resting. I am so eager to see your latest artwork that I sometimes miss important details like that.

Haha, I did that sort of intentionally, really. I wanted a page that required a few looks over to get all the information, so it's working as intended :D
