Now that the first step of the move is completed, I'm ready to make the drive to California starting on friday! This is kinda scary :')

Have a good day everyone!

Personally, I wonder what would've happened if Irwin had told Hugh what his beef with Jaunt is.

"He already killed me once" is a pretty legitimate grudge.

It's true, but Hugh already knows that Jaunt has to hurt people sometimes, it's something he's come to peace with... sorta :)

I'm not sure it would have made a difference Mr. C. Hugh's attachment to Jaunt seems to go far beyond a simple "Yeah, I work with the guy" kinda feeling. Makes me think Jaunt helped him out during a really difficult part of Hugh's transformation, or he did Hugh a huge favor immediately after.

I love the look of surprise on Irwin's face, first panel. Hugh crossed the distance in the time it took him to blink: People sometimes forget that, unlike in video games, big guys with lots of muscle are actually really fast, as long as they don't skip leg day.

Too true - now, stopping themselves once they get the inertia built up, that's a different story...

I love this comic---Keep up the good work!

Have a good drive to California, and stay safe. That is a drive I just made myself (Austin to Phoenix to San Diego, and then back to Austin again). It was a nice trip, lots of cool things to see on the way. :-)

I love that you love it! Thank you :)

Ah yeah, my trip is considerably more northern. I used to be in Austin not too long ago! I'm coming down from the Nebraska way through Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, so still stuff to see, but I would like to see AZ some day.

I know that feel, Thigg :|

Good to see Jaunt did not give Hugh just any dumb defensive artefact. It would be pointless if Irwin were to immediately find a way around the hardened skin.
Only advantage is that Hugh is slow and probably more defensive than going for the kill.

Ah yes, you and your fire emblem ;)

And yeah, Hugh's definitely tanky right now, but do you really see him as the sort that can follow that up with a kill? Hmm...

I'm surprised that no one has recalled that Irwin was once a police officer. I would think he would have had some experience in dealing with big guys who want to fight. Of course, back then a gun or even a billy club would have been a sufficient advantage.

Oh yeah, if there's something that a pair of irish american brothers are good at, it's fightin'. Irwin might be a little better at the physicality of it, though, especially now :)

Thank you, I'm sure I'll be fine!

I don't think Thigg is done with figuring this one out, though.

Wont anyone think of the poor threads just unraveling before our eyes?!?

Huh, i wonder with huh's little sparring partner there. Irwin, right, if those bony hip swayers are a new thing we either havent seen, or a new mod?

Oooh, poor hugh has just had enough.. I think thats the first time we've seen angry, and I believe I dont want see him that way for a bit yet when he and bonesword meet for round 2. (Bonesword has his work cut out for him.)

It can't be too easy to make a shirt for Hugh! Poor Jack has his work cut out for him :D

Irwin's hip thing is purely aesthetic from me - I kinda slowly started steering towards the more fantastical with costuming since that's kind of where the story is at at this point, heh.

I agree though, angry Hugh is not really the state we want to see - he's got a lot to work with when he's got that anger, so, for the sake of all involved probably best he doesn't stay that way...

Swanky Belt?

Believe it or not, this is the first time I've noticed Irwin's silver/grey belt-thing. Didn't have time to scan the archives very far, but it looks like he's had it for a while.
Is that some standard clothing I don't know about, or does Irwin have some new magic gadget in addition to Thigg?
