Thigg puts in some work, now.

Going to do my best to finish three pages today, or by the end of the weekend, wish me luck! :D

Oh... Okay! Would have never guess that :D
Thigg can produce various weapons on the fly. That is solved then. A sword will put a bit of distance between them although it is still pretty much one attack from Hugh and done...

Yeah, it might be impressive to pull random swords out and stuff, but will it help in the end? Hard to say...

Yeah. Thigg blob probably has limitations on how much mass he can give away like that...
Hopefully he is edible because I would ask for burgers made from that.... purple stuff LMAO

Oh my god, you would eat a Thiggburger!? Grooooss XD

Maybe.

I dunno, it would probably be safe to eat? But still...

I'm really liking this symbiotic duo here.
He better be pretty confident about that sword else he could get pretty hurt if Hugh catches him with something.

Hey, thanks!

At this point, I think it's pretty safe to say that both parties in this scuffle are putting on a poker face.

I'm still very curious about Thigg's motivations in all this. Why is he helping Irwin, really? Does he have an ulterior motive, or is siding with Irwin just something to do for a bored immortal entity?

Immortality is actually a special type of hell, you gotta keep finding things to do or the boredom will drive you mad.

This is true. Also if Earth is special as Thigg purports, the ability to see it is nothing small.

There may be OTHER motivations but come on, I ain't here to spoil stuff :D

If this doesn't work, what's next, bludgeoning weapons?
... actually those would probably work. Blunt force is something armor has always had a hard time counteracting.
Something about inertia, there's a quarter dime and penny magic trick where you have to put the dime between the penny and the quarter while only touching the dime and quarter which comes to mind about why.

For sure - a war hammer was a great weapon against stuff like full plate because it would collapse it on the wearer, etc. Then again, guns beat full plate, too, so hard to say how effective bludgeoning might work..

personally I would try it :D

Full plate, kevlar, chain mail, flak, it's hard to really make armor that's as effective against inertia as it is to make it against piercing or slashing weapons.

Getting your wind knocked out or bones broken by blunt force is something that's kinda hard to build an armor to fully defend against.

On seeing panel five I thought "Pull my finger" ;-) On a more serious note that sword looks a lot like a certain dagger.

Pff, hahaha! :D

I see the relation you're talking about. Could it be related!? Or could the artist just be inept at drawing varied alien bladed weaponry!?

Reminded of a bit of dialogue from DBZ Abridged

"Hey, no fair! I can't pull swords out of my body!"
"Stand still and you will!"

I am reminded of the old Adventures of Superman TV show in the 1950s when the gangster would empty his revolver at Superman's chest at point-blank range, and then when that didn't work would hurl their .38 at him in a last ditch effort to avoid capture.

I don't think that Irwin is going to be anymore successful with the sword than he was with the modified handgun.

And, meanwhile, Jaunt is recovering his strength.

Hahaha, yeah, I think you've just about got the situation right XD

To be fair, though, kevlar armor stops bullets but not knives. It resists a totally different kind of force - it's like the opposite of full plate in a way.
