Aw, fishy! :-D How can something as sinister as the Order of Dagon have such a cute symbol?

I was going for like an old-world style simplistic illustration, it just happens to be cute, as well :D

How can a fishy be evil?

As the Cucumber in Vegie Tales once put it, with contempt welling from his core ... "fish slappers. Hmph!"

Should just borrow it. Nobody needs to know :)

While the book does look cool, it still looks like a mythos novel than proof but I guess once you saw thing with your own eyes, anything written becomes believable when it is related to it, right?

Naw, nobody will miss it :D

And yeah, that's what I was thinking - it was probably discarded as fiction initially, but things that have been seen kinda show it in a new light!

Does the EOD text have a publisher? A hand set edition of 50 copies printed by the guy who got kicked out of Ben Franklin's printing shop perhaps?

Hah, I don't think it does, probably - honestly I don't think there's a specific book for the order itself, this is just one of the many liberties I'm taking, heh.

I was thinking perhaps while Innsmouth was still at it's peak population in the 1800s, there was some sort of small press there that could handle creating a short run of books, right?

I don't recall that any specific text was identified but it makes sense that there would be a text of some sort. Until they get dispersed by the authorities the Dagon sects appear to be able to recruit members and they would some means of passing on knowledge. Even with a strong oral tradition you get information drift.

That's what I was thinking. I suppose it doesn't necessarily need to be a super organized religion, it just seems like the sort where there's some sort of practice. Everyone knows to keep the windows shut will the children of the deep walk the streets, how to care for transitioning folk, etc.

That is apparently not the first time that Chase has seen that book. I presume that he consulted it before visiting Innsmouth.

Oh no, it's likely that he's pored over it before :D still not quite able to commit to the idea that it's real. Not until now, anyway...

Two things I like about Panel 2: the fish-eye view from the top, and the bookshelves on tracks.

I'm glad you noticed the tracks :D

Yeah, that panel was a bit of a bear, I have to say. It took up most of the time on this page, I'm glad you like it!

This might be my favorite page so far. The color, ESPECIALLY the inking is amazing! I also love the perspective on this!

Aaah, thank you so much - I really liked this page a lot, even though it was a tough job. I am very interested in incorporating heavy amounts of black on a page so this was great practice for me. I want to do stuff like this more in the future, but my production will need to improve first!

:)
