Hey guys! I hope you like the page, the following pages were pretty fun to draw :D

So here's the update on the model situation - feast your eyes upon this!

image

This is basically the model we have for printing, I'm not sure about pricing yet but it's approximately 4 inches tall. I might have to scale the back based on what I get quoted but what would be a good price point for an (unfortunately unpainted) 4 inch tall Jaunt like the one above?

Painting the model is half the fun!

Yes I am intrested in the Jack model.

Hee hee, I actually hope if I do get to sell these that people paint them crazy colors :D

Now I'm thinking that Jaunt's suit would look great with a color scheme based on his Outworld robes.
Or the Joker's iconic green & purple.

Those fingers look awfully thin for 3d printing... Did you make sure that it'll work?

It's true - I'm having a test print done to see if it works out, but if not I'll have it edited. The modeler voiced similar concerns and said he'd make any needed adjustments :)

Malifaux models have lots of small thin detail so it can work. Depending on how the model is made.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but looking at some images on Google, these seem to be actually hand modeled and then molded figures and not really 3d printed, which would be, as I understand it, only really cost effective if you're going to mass produce them.

Nothing to be embarrassed about! It all comes from models. I'm just way too tiny to consider something large scale, and definitely too poor :')

I'm hoping for a small run and seeing where it goes. I'm seeing if a friend of a friend can print out a test model that I'll pay for and see what adjustments need to be made from there - Jaunt just doesn't seem like Jaunt if he isn't flamboyantly flashing his hands about with fingers splayed!

I for one will welcome our new Shambler overlords, and their spiffy suits.

I can't wait to see how the final product fits on a D&D map. Jaunt, the well cultured dimensional shambler over-lord of the undercity. Coming to a Waterdeep city near you.

Maybe I should reduce the size a bit so it's not just a crazy huge figurine... more convenient for people who want to buy it and not so huge and in the way. Or expensive to make :')

Well, if weapons don't suit him, it's maybe either a barrier, some kind of armor, or something along those lines. After all, as events have demonstrated, these fishmen are not bulletproof. If Al Capone and the boys from Chicago came down with tommy guns, they might prove as effective at disrupting Jaunt's operation as any supernatural foe would. Jaunt might be protected with his dimensional abilities, but everyone else is made of meat and have no abilities to match his.

Ya. I am leaning towards defensive amulet as well. Not a weapon after all so it definitely is not for combat or maybe not direct combat.
Someone needs to be a support class and I think Hugh fits that with his personality even thought fishmen of his size are definitely strong...
I guess a magic or effect disruption device of sorts. Maybe canceling the talisman from before.

Hugh makes for an interesting support but I think that's a pretty apt way to look at it :D He's like a support-tank! Like rolling up the knight and the priest into one class - right?

I hope you guys like where this goes, heheheh...

far as I know Ganon's forehead ruby thing is just a Gerudo head thing. Nothing special beyond that.

SOOOOO cool! I did a 3D print of Acid in school like 10 years ago when 3D printers where newish. It was a bit rough. I still have him. :)

I wonder what the quality is now. I see pics online of even modern 3d printed things and they still have a "texture" to them and the details aren't always there. With such an awesome character you have, I wonder if you would be better off having someone create a sculpture for you and then casting duplicates with resin?

Oh yeah? It's hard to believe they've been around that long - I remember when they could just print like squares, people were using them to print out their minecraft sculptures and buildings, heheh.

I don't know, still! I have to figure that all out, it's kinda crazy finding people in my area who can do it. Nobody's returning my calls :p

I might just have a model with nowhere to print it XD I might be better off having it casted... but again I'd have to find out where and how to do that.

Love that expression on Hugh's face in the final panel. It really looks like he is dreading to find out what it does.

I like the Jaunt figurine. Can't commit to buying one at the moment as I am just yesterday coming out of a lengthy and involuntary period of retirement with severely depleted finances. At least I have a job once again, even if it is part-time.

Oh, he is very much dreading :D With good reason.

It's totally fine, I know not everyone can buy one. I have to make it a reality first anyway, but I plan on having them around for a while after I get them. We'll see :) also hurrah for employement! Part time or otherwise.

Looking forward to seeing what that amulet does!
Great rendering of Juant, I agree that it captures his personality. In terms of the printing it might be practical to print the hands separately and let the end user glue them on.

We find out today!

Hugh has a bit of a bad time :D

It wasn't designed to be separated, I imagine that's an adjustment I could ask for. This is all pretty crazy to me and very expensive from the looks of it, I may have mis-stepped somewhere :)

I DON'T CARE WHAT IT WAS ORIGINALLY, NOW IT HAS TO BE CRAZY MYTHOS POWER ARMOUR.

I am now very eager for the next page.

Something like that, but with a twist to it :)

Considering I had six fully drawn pages after this when you commented it wouldn't be possible to make it that without a substantial amount of effort XD Sorry man!

I've already got power armor, though, with the conservators back in Yizix!
