A handle with automatically adaptable ergonomics, well that's a plus!
Let's explore what else this thing can do - but don't hurt yourself in the process, Jack!

It definitely won't violate work place health codes with it's ergonomic design :D

Yes yes, this is where we get to see if Jack is inventive or if it's just a sneaky bruiser. Hmmm

Buuuut....

can it block bullets?
Or does Jaunt have another item to make Jack more bullet resistant?

I was just gonna comment this!

Block bullets would work nicely.

Ha haaa! I dunno, Jack seemed to do pretty well with catching the bullets on his own, eh?

There's more coming :D

You know, while Jaunt has like NO EYES. I've begun to miss his 'eyes'.

Also, these last so many pages have been amazing in their quality! Upped that game like a boss

Oh me too. Fortunately his outfit is changing again and his monocle is coming back :)

And thank you, wow! I actually felt like the pages have started going down in quality so I'm glad you feel the other way? Maybe my brain is broken?

That is a cool knife. Can I have one?
It wouldn't be super useful in a modern firefight with napalm and grenades but still

Haha :D

This is back when combat was stiiiill pretty close range and personal, even with firearms. Plus knives are a lot more stealthy, which is definitely Jack's M.O.

A living blade fit for whatever its user needs. I can't imagine what one would cost. Jaunt really does value Jack and his abilities.

Ah, just throw Tekleti some forks and photographs or something and he'll hand out all kinds of cool things :D

Haha, all joking aside, we'll see if Jaunt's trust is well placed...

Tekleti the Mermaid?

And now I can't get the image of Tekleti grooming his hair with a fork and singing, "I've got gadgets and gizmos a plenty! You want thingamabobs? I've got 20!"

Oh what a time to be an interstellar merchant.

I'm betting the knife's grip isn't the only part that changes to meet its owner's needs.

"The handle just changed..."

Now that's a knife, not even the spoon can beat that one! ;D

I also like the "deep ones" design it has.

It's a pretty cool little tool :)

Thank you, I wanted it to be pretty funky looking, it should be a challenge for me to work with when he starts using it, heh...

First Irwin and now Jack. Eldritch top of the line weapon tech is in high demand lately!
Sounds good. I could not see Jack doing much with a short dagger but this could be useful. Limits but probably not too bad provided your psychic strength is properly developed! We will see what he can do!

Ah, sorry I didn't reply to this any sooner D: I guess it fell through the cracks

Yeah, I thought it would be interesting for people to ponder whether Jack has the faculty to really utilize something like this. Brace for what may be a surprise or maybe something that lines up with exactly how you think it might go? :'D

Zerth Blade?

Did you by chance play Planescape: Torment? This blade sounds a bit like Dak'kon's. It would be thematically appropriate.

I never did play that game, actually, but reading up on its lore it is pretty similar sounding, yes :)

Good looking out, heheh - I wasn't sure how common the concept was, I guess more common than initially thought :'D

Old tropes

In Hindu mythology, the Varunastra is a shapechanging weapon made of a contained storm, destroying any wielder who makes a mistake in it's handling, so the trope is indeed old enough for even Nyarlathotep to have noticed a little time passing.
Looking around for information, it seems there is a lengthy entry on Wikipedia (/List_of_mythological_objects) describing all sorts of artefacts both mundane and esoteric.

That is extremely cool - I appreciate it! It may be a lit late to incorporate this stuff in this story, but once I move on to TU proper there could be some good material here :)
