It was fun revisiting the idea of what Jaunt looked like before his transformation, heheh.

Thanks, Tom :D

By my interpretation of things, I don't think they're against each other. Yog is older and higher up on the hierarchy, and technically not able to enter any space aside from it's own.

The way I see it Yog-Sothoth is restricted to interacting with the dimensions around it through strange means, like in Dunwich Horror, where it creates beings that are able to do the work it wants done. I think some of the elder gods have cadres or allegiances , and others are not included or specifically opposed. I figure Yog-Sothoth would view C'thulhu as an ally, personally, but that's just my take on it :)

Even shamblers cannot fathom the will of Elder Gods.

I find it is NEVER a good thing when they turn their attention toward you.

Shamblers ESPECIALLY not. At least my version of them I guess XD

And you're probably right :') Very few people get out of interactions with these beings and come out alright...

Hah! The tale of a homeless soul turned classy. In a way ;)
I see what you mean now. Surprised I talked about feral shape shifters haha :D

I guess Jaunt owes him one. And I do not feel he wants to use the power against him.
Wish higher beings were not so cryptic all the time :T

Now you can see why I bit my tongue mid-conversation XD

Oh yeah, man, Jaunt's got a new lease on life, he can SEE now, and comprehend things, he's more than a creature that survives :D

What he does with this new perspective, well.. it's what the comic is about :')

Looks like Jaunt was run through a huge buffing machine :')

Expertly done page, I love the crazy background in panel 1! The Earth Sciences major in me wonders: what kind of rock is that in the background??

^ Yog-Sothoth's favorite tool!

Thanks, Taily :D In terms of the rocks in the backgrounds they're uh... corner... stone... cause of the corners. I have no idea, I just liked the idea of rocks and atmospheric influence that cause strange tilted, jagged edges and spires! :)

Excellent artwork and exposition.

Now, the reason why Jaunt's fellow shamblers invaded Kurt's world in a quest for food makes complete sense.

That had been on my list of strange and inexplicable things to be understood a some future point in time. I can check it off the list. <g>

Thanks, Bob!

And yes, he was little more than a creature, before, but there was something about him that caught grandpa Yog's attention, apparently!

Also, I just realized that Kurt's martial arts training probably did fully prepare him to take on a regular shambler. He would have, no doubt, won that battle. His mistake was thinking that Jaunt was no more than a regular shambler. Big mistake!

It's true! When Jaunt was using the tactics that came naturally to him, he had some trouble. It wasn't until he started doing things he'd learned since his awakening that Kurt couldn't keep up :)

So before, he wasn't "aware", kind of a like a simple minded animal?

Pretty much, yeah! A predatory animal feasting on helpless beings that had no way to escape a dimension-hopping monster.

He was injected with a bunch of knowledge and apparently also underwent some physical changes, too.

Two things! You made a typo, ''it's'', (should be ''its'') and grooming sounds like Yoggy (ha) is a pedophile.
