Oooh, secrets? Secrets! :D

Also how can you expect a gentleman to fight with a dirtied face? Sheesh.

Looks like Jaunt traped some Elrich energy into his blood there.

It's a bomb or at the very least a trap!

Oh indeed. Some insight to Jaunt's connection to the mythos might be welcome at this point, heh.

I honestly want to know more about Kurt the monk. What is he a monk of? What does his home planet look like? What's the backstory of his species' conflict with shamblers? I HAVE MANY QUESTIONS

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised in the future - maybe not specifically the order he's a monk of, but other things :D

PINK handkerchief! Dude has got STYLE! I approve with my purple and blue one!
Yeah, I agree. I think Jaunt is setting something up. This is a confrontation one can only win by other methods than straight up fighting. He already did charge the monocle before in a similar way!

Aw yeah, man, he's got some sweet items for sure :'D I want a cool handkerchief now, you gotta show me a pic of yours some day, heh!

And nawww, there's no way he's setting anything up, what's with a little glowing hissing blood? Mine does that :D

Hmmm... We have reached the point that is beyond my existing knowledge of the mythos. I've of course heard of "Awakening the old ones, and the blah shall consume your blah blahs."

But it always felt like something reserved for things much older than Jaunt. Like, you need a certain level of cosmic power to slumber for long enough that you'd consider it an "Awakening" when you came back. Jaunt is awesome, but not quite to that level.

Good point! But in this case it's a different form of awakening :D

He's referring to who gave him the 'touch' or sapience, basically, as he used to not have it. Something I plan on expanding upon eventually, but it means something big and powerful decided to make Jaunt smart at one point, for some reason or another...

Ah! Awakening in the D&D sense. Ok, that makes more sense.

So then, I knew Jaunt was exceptional, what with the monocle and all. But this awakening begs the question of how intelligent the average shambler is.

Is Jaunt perhaps setting up a fallback? If Kurt defeats him, he won't want to kill Jaunt immediately so that Jaunt can tell him the promised information. Then Jaunt can spring his last ditch surprise. How very Jaunt-like. <g>

That's what I'm thinking too. He's definitely setting up some sort of contingency here.

@Bob: Perhaps! :D It could be Kurt doesn't give a damn, also, and J-man might have enough of an ego to do it anyway, haha!

Jaunt is making a Horcrux! His life-force is bound to the cloth now.
He can't be killed unless the cloth is destroyed!

Oh interesting! Hmmmm I wonder if it might be a trap if he even wins! I mean in bloodborne it induces insanity just learning the name of the old ones!

A Bloodborne fan! :D

Haha, those who exist in space and are aware of what lies beyond are less affected by simple names. Conjuring eldritch magic, though, that definitely has a lasting effect, I'd say...
