We've reached the end of another chapter! Holy cow I've been doing this a while. I just read through the whole thing yesterday (I haven't in months) and I'm proud I've kept it up as long as I have.

I have the cover for the next chapter going up on friday, then I'll be taking a brief hiatus - I got the apartment I was applying for so I should have a lot less stress coming up :D

Aw man...

Jaunt, you magnificent bastard. (He's clearly got something up his finely-tailored sleeve.)

Dude, I'm super proud of you too!! You've done so much and come so far and I've loved watching it happen!

This poor bartender, though.
"Please just-- just leave my establishment and-- oh my god no what are you doing to the wall, no please stop, for the LOVE OF CHRIST THIS IS THE WORST DAY EVER"

Oooohhhhh man. Holy hell. I just read TSOI in one sitting and...wow. I'm absolutely in love, the story is great, the characters are spectacular, and your art style is amazing. A round of applause for the best thing I've read in along time.

Woooahohooah! That's a huge compliment, thank you so much :o

That was like, whiz, bang, out of the blue, I'm glad you liked it so much :) I remember starting to read Meld, too, I think I got caught up and then forgot to get back to it. It looks like you're restarting it? Any idea when? :D

Uhh, I'm planning to start updating around the middle/end of january, so there's actually a substantial(ish) amount of content for people to read through...I ended up deciding to go with one of the original ideas I had for the plot, so there's a lot to redraw.. I have the sketches for almost 60 panels going, along with some finished ones- it might take me a while to finish those, haha. (Now that I've started talking about my comic, I can't stop! :'D) Honestly, the main reason for restarting things is that my art has improved so much since I first started that I can't look at my older work without cringing... Anyway, how long have you been working on this comic? The characters, especially, seem so thought out and, well, alive. It's really impressive- and they're all so likable, too! :D

That's great! I'll have to follow along, I'll try and keep an eye out for when you post it again :)

I totally get the pull to go back and re-do stuff, but for me, I guess I kinda want to let this series serve as a journal for my progress in terms of art and composure, etc. I myself cringe at the earlier pages (really most of the comic,) but I'm gonna leave em there cause I can show myself where I came from :')

Looking back at Meldworld, though, I really don't think it's bad at all, but as an artist I get it when something becomes unacceptable, you can't keep it up. You have to make the change or you lose interest, right? Good luck :)

In terms of how long I've been working on this comic, though, it started in animation school (Which is why the character design is a little more simplistic.) I came up with this idea during character design class and thought it would be cool to pitch a cartoon to a network or something, see how far I could get and learn how the industry works. It was a neat idea but while I was in animation school, I learned two things: Animation takes so many people to do well so if I went that route it would require an insane amount of work, also I hate animating.

So I decided to make it a comic :D The rest is history - the prologue was made on it's own, but after that I plotted out a story that I'm now following. It went from a pitch to a comic :)

Hopefully Jaunt isn't going into this fight without considering what the bugman said about how his kind effectively made a "martial art" to counter his kind. A mere bauble designed to work against him gave him all the grief he's suffering through now. If this guy's got abilities that neutralizes his usual tactics, then this is going to be a pretty rough encounter indeed.

There's something Jaunt understands that he's wagering Mr. Bug does NOT understand.

We'll see what that is, and how it turns out, next chapter :)

I think the bugman is either really overpowered,
or stupid and overconfident.

To accept Jaunt's oneway-ticket to nowhere, he needs to be able to teleport/dimension-travel on his own,
or he would be lost.

Heh. Nice of Jaunt to choose his own battle field.
Unlike the previous fights where my focus jumped back and forth, here, I hope Jaunt will wreck that guy!
He is too annoying :D :D

The issue is whether the bug man trusts him or not - something I hope makes sense when I get to it :)

Did you see joeyballast's fanart? It shows something I think you'd like.
