It never a good idea to ask two questions at once. At least when you hope to get an answer to the first question.. ;)

Oh Jaunt, you scamp... telling people about plans but not what they are... tsk, tsk.

Well he's more not telling the reader than he's not telling the characters at this point ;D

There you go Jaunt, turn the failure into a learning opportunity!

Jaunt is always planning something.

The first and third panel are awesome, love the perspective of the first and the hand and expression of the second, awesome stuff! Better still is the fantastic story, great art is always made greater by exceptional storytelling.

Stay frosty and can't wait to see what comes Friday!

Heh.
He did not chew him up.
Quite the opposite. A very intelligent move. Humans have to be enigma to them as much as they are to humans, I guess.
Extracting Hugh's human side, more specifically compassion and such, can be turned against humans (we have seen Chase's little breakdown).
Maybe by using "resurrected" Irwen as... who knows.
Seriously guessing now (and this what I wanted to say in short as the long version is totally convoluted at this point, lmao).

Newp! Apparently he sees more value in keeping his coterie happy rather than punishing them. Especially when he sees the value in failure as he does.

I am pleased to see you guessing, and even more pleased to see how far I come to meet or exceed your expectations :)

Jaunt is like a gun slinging quarterback who has to forget the interception he just threw and get back out there with the next play. He learns from his mistakes and doesn't dwell on them.
