When your boss calls you, you expect something bad.
When your boss visits you personally.... But at least Jaunt seems to be in a good mood.

Funny. He seems to be all proper in his own house but puts his legs on the table in someone else's :D

Oh he always seems like he's in a good mood.

... except when he's losing a fight in an alley, but who can blame him? I'm sure Hugh is super cautious around him at all times because who knows what he's going to do? The Shambler is a for really real alien, he hasn't got this whole 'society' and 'humanity' thing down :D

And yeah, he's awfully casual in someone else's home, huh? Hahah!

Oh, Jaunt... don't you know about little things like manners and etiquette, upon which society is built...

Oh, right...

...what's happening "tonight"?

This won't be the first time I mention Repo in here will it? I'm not sure.

Jaunts final line reminded me of a song, which led me to Repo, which led me to really wanting a Repo, the Genetic Rock Opera/Shadows over Innsmouth cross-over.
You know, if Jaunt and his leaders really took over the world, that might explain the sickness that led to Repos post-apocalyptic world. Which is something that doesn't really need an explanation, but could lead to some interesting scenes if there was one.

I'm having major deja vu for some reason. Have I talked about this before?

I think you have but I don't remember where at - here's the thing, I haven't even SEEN Repo, so I probably should. If I had a way to contact you I'd go check it out and tell you what I think, heh, or I could just put it in the notes on a future page.

I'll have to watch it with the idea that it was an eldritch apocalypse and see how that matches up - thanks for the recommendation!

Nice period detail with the console radio. I have my family's antique Silvertone radio, which I remember sitting around in the living room before we got our first TV in the mid-1950s. However, it is a tabletop model, not the full-size model like you drew.

My brother-in-law has one of the full-size console models like yours, and I must admit it is one of the few things that he has of which I am envious.

I was hoping someone would appreciate that :D One of Hugh's favorite things to do is sit down to read and listen to radio programs in his tiny little room, heheh!

Not that it matters, but I also remember that every time you turned the radio on, the heat it generated caused the vacuum tubes to deteriorate. Over time, so would the performance of the radio. Then, you would unplug the tubes that were glowing less brightly and take them to the local hardware store. There you would plug them into a universal tube tester that they had. If the tube didn't pass muster, you would buy a new one and take it back and plug the replacement in.

One of the many things that fathers would do with their sons on a Saturday.
