That's a good trick for taunting your enemies without risking damage to your perfectly tailored suit.

curiosity question

I was totally enjoying the build of this story arc, but was kinda thrown out of it by the gun being used in this page.

If this is taking place in 1925 as the intro suggested, that gun shouldn't be in his hands. The semi-automatic pistol had yet to be produced.

I mean unless he's a time traveler or something and brought it back with him.

I really appreciate it, thank you!

Actually I'd done my research on firearms and this gun is supposed to be a loose mock-up of the 1911, which was indeed semi-automatic and came out in, well, 1911 :)

Semi-automatic pistols have been around since, if I remember correctly, the late 1890s, but yeah they certainly weren't super widely distributed.

Unless I'm totally wrong, I would love to learn if you can show me evidence to the contrary :D

Well now, evidently I didn't dig deep enough on my research. Though it says that it was military issue... so was our intrepid ex-cop also in the military at one point? (and his brother too?)

Btw I've read up to page 110 already tonight. Digging the world building big time!

That's spoiler territory! :D

But no, really, the regulations on stuff like that was super lax back in the day, aside from illegal smuggling and trade there's the fact that police back in those times were allowed to straight up keep evidence from crime scenes.

I'm super glad you like it, though, thank you so much :) How did you find out about my comic?

That "I refuse" panel is so cute, I can't describe why. Looks like this guy's fucked tho.
